CHA Summer

Well here I am at the CHA Summer Show in Orlando. The show is much much smaller than any of the other shows I have attended before but there is still lots of fun and exciting stuff to see and buy!

I was hoping to blog more but I am having a few computer issues (always having these), hair issues and coffee issues (yes, I know my life is hard).

I stayed at my sisters house on Sunday night and she made me a cup of coffee in the morning. When I tasted the coffee I thought the creamer had gone bad as the taste was horrific. I poured myself another cup and decided to drink it black. Again another nasty vile taste was in my mouth. Yuck, she drinks coffee with Hicory or Chicory or something nasty in it. I have to say I am still a little traumatized over the whole affair. Got another cup of coffee at the show. Not good but at least drinkable.

Here are some pictures from the show floor.

The Maya Road booth is always packed with inspiring examples:

Here is a cute ladybug Chipboard album.

Cute, cute cute Canvas Album with Chipboard and Canvas pages. I can feel another Ocean Breeze class coming on . . .

Wonderful Christmas Tree Shaped album. Can't wait to get my grubby hands on this one :)

New Spellbinders dies. These are already on the shelves in the store

The Prima Booth. I can spend hours in this booth looking at all the flowery blingy goodness. I bought quite a lot from this booth

They have a great Design Team making all sorts of wonderful projects for the booth. I will post more photos from the Prima booth.

Well, I am off to find a Starbucks, wish me luck:)

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer . . . . .

Sleigh bells ring, are you listening,
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
We're happy tonight.
Walking in a winter wonderland. . . . . .

I think you get the idea :)
It was a Christmas in July event in the store on Saturday and we had a wonderful time as usual.

Here is a close up of Lisa. I tried to get her to wear the boots, large jacket and beard but she said it was too hot :(
We played three sessions of Santa Bingo and had three lucky winners.
and we of course had some very cute Christmas Themed Make n Takes

This side of the table was making Santa's Magic Key Door Holders

This side of the table was making adorable little Gingerbread House mini books. (Perfect to put Christmas Cookie recipes in and give as a Hostess Gift.

The other Make and Takes I forgot to get pictures of :(
Here is Marsha and Mary Cricut
and another game of Bingo

A great event, lots of laughter, yummy cookies and fun.

Random Images . . . . . . .

Okay so I have been very lax on updating this blog. I think I am still recovering from the Ocean Breeze class :)

Here is a photo of the albums as we started to get the kits together.

We were very lucky to have quite a few volunteers help us make all the kits. It was a mega frenzy of diecutting, bagging charms and cutting paper. It took all of us three full days to get everything done.

During the assembly of the kits we had some very bad weather, extremely windy and wet. Here is a photo of Dorothy and the Tin Man getting swept away in the wind.

This was a recent Metal with Me class that we did. In this class we made an 8x8 album.

The Metal Classes are a lot of fun. In this class we used Alcohol Inks, Paints and Copic Markers to color the covers. There are a lot of options and techniques and we will be exploring more of them as we do more classes.

This past Sunday we had an ATC Club meeting. It was a lot of fun.

Everyone made an ATC.

We then picked a theme for the next months meeting which is "Under the Sea" If you would like to join the ATC club give us a call at the store. Each month we will trade cards with each other, make an ATC and get a technique demo.

And finally the last photos for tonight . . . . .
The CHA trade show starts next week and I will be purchasing lots of new and fun products for the store. In anticipation of this we have cleared off this very large display.

hmm, only Myself and the girls that work at the store know what is going on this display, but . .

Maybe, Maybe not, but . . .

Don't worry we will reveal everything at the end of next week when I get back from the show. (and NO, the girls don't take bribes)

I will be blogging from the show so stay tuned to this blog and the newsletters for more news.

So until the next time, Goodnight
