New Stamps

We got new stamps today. Beautiful new Flower stamps that beg to be layered. Look at the lovely samples below. You have to see these in person, simply stunning

Technique Club

Thursday we are starting a Monthly Class called The Technique Club. This is where we learn some new techniques, make samples and put them into a book along with the directions

So if you want to learn something new, or revisit a technique and make a book filled with instructions and samples then this class is for you.

This month we are learning about some of the things you can do with Claudine Hellmuth's Sticky Back Canvas.

Classes are this Thursday either at 10:30 or at 6:00pm

Basic Grey is Here

We got two new collections from Basic Grey today.


Max & Whiskers is a very cute pet collection.
Lots of warm colors and textures in this collection that can be used for many themes not just pets.

Cappella from Basic Grey.
Not only perfect for weddings but other formal and even casual layouts.

Soft Blues, Greys and Pinks.
Very Sophisticated but with that Basic Grey edge.

Fred lost in the neighborhood.

Rosemary was very nasty to Fred today, apparently she gets annoyed with him when he chatters. (To be honest he does talk a lot, a very lot)

So she tried to suffocate him!

He managed to run away and got lost in the neighborhood.

Luckily he managed to find a phonebooth and called me on my cell phone.

So I jumped into the car and rescued him. He keeps calling me his hero. If I could get him to stop talking I would point out that I am a Heroine not a Hero :)

Altered Book Club

We have an Altered Book Club that just started meeting once a month at the store. Participants trade their books with other members once a month. This is what Jacqui created in one of the other members books.

You have to see this in person, it is just stunning.

Suzanne, a very sweet customer came in to the store this afternoon and gave Rosemary a little gift.

A very nice bird with her name tattooed on his breast.

Rosemary wanted to call him StinkyMcSmellyFeet but I didn't think that was a very nice name. I suggested the name Leonard.

The bird flew at me and I almost stepped on him.
Luckily I am quite nimble so a horrendous accident was averted.

Let me know if you have any good name suggestions for her to consider.
(anything is better than StinkyMcSmellyFeet)
I will let you know what Rosemary has decided to call him tomorrow.

Fred is back

Fred came back to work today for a little while.
He still has a little bit of a headache
so he took the afternoon off and went fishing.

He managed to catch 3 fish

Sepia Memories Class & Layout

Tonight we had the Sepia Memories Wall Canvas Class and thought I would show you some of the finished projects. Aren't they fabulous. They had an easy relaxed time and have a piece of art to hang on their walls when they get home.

I managed to get this layout done before the class using
Anna Griffin Papers and a Martha Stewart Punch.

This is my sister and her new husband.
They got married on the beach a couple of weeks ago

Tried to get a close up to show how dimensional the layout is
but I need to be able to use the camera better

SEI Layouts

Melina is on our Design Team and she made these absolutely stunning layouts using the Claire Collection from SEI. She used some of the new lacey ribbon we have in the store as well as some Prima Leaves

On this layout Melina used one of the Martha Stewart Corner and Border punches around the edge of the page. She also cut the flower out of the paper and shaped it. WOW!!

Melina does just fabulous work :)
