BEYOND Basic Backgrounds ...

Friday May 18th at 6:00pm

Actually it should be called...WAY beyond basic backgrounds!

Learning how to make great backgrounds will take your art to the next level.

You’ll find that these multilayered backgrounds are the perfect starting point for card making, altered art projects & for the newly popular art journals. You’ll never fear that blank white space again, once you learn these simple steps.

In this techniques class, you’ll create beautiful backgrounds made with distress stains & inks, stencils, studio 490 stamps, archival inks, Tim’s new water brushes & also some random ITEMS that will be YOURS to take home. The key “ingredient” is Ranger’s brand new “Specialty Stamping Paper”....this paper is unbelievably versatile & TOTALLY wonderful! Prepare to be amazed as we start with an ATC, then move on to more larger “arts” that can be framed or added to your art journal... or even to your inspiration station.

There will be plenty of choices & the art YOU CREATE will be unique. This workshop will help you develop YOUR style.

Inspiration Station with Wendy Vecchi

Inspiration station...

Inspiration Station is just that! A place to record your ideas & a place to try new techniques. It's a unique art journal of sorts. Since the pages are easily removable & replaceable, there's no need to worry about ruining your book. We will ink, stamp & stain to create & construct this journal completely from scratch.

This design can also be transformed into a mini scrapbook, if you so desire.

In this workshop we'll use lots of fun products including studio 490 art parts and stamps, Tim Holtz Idea-ology goodness, lots of Ranger inks and some grungeboard too.

We'll play with the new distress stains & there are a few surprise techniques included too.

Sketch It Class

Thursday Night April 19th at 6:00pm is Rosemary's Sketch it Class

Do you have problems designing cards that look like the professionals then take this class. Every month Rosemary will come up with a new sketch and you will make three cards from that sketch that look totally different. Keep these in your binder and you will never be lacking for inspiration again. The first time you take this class the cost is $35

We started an Adventure in Art Journaling Class last month.

Art Journaling is a “diary” that has a strong visual element to it, an expression of your artistic creativity and imagination. Express your memories, dreams, feelings or thoughts in an artistic way. Take a walk on the wild side and join our newest art venture.

For our first class we used

Do you guys remember the Christmas Stockings that a dear customer Jeannie made for us? Well she has been at it again, this time she made each of us an astounding Easter Basket.

The time and attention she put into each basket just blows me away.
