Donna Downey Inspired

We received our order from Prima yesterday and it included the new Donna Downey canvas albums finally!!!

I was immediately inspired to start creating something. It has been so long since I have made an album and this was a fun project. I was convinced by some customers that were watching me to make this into a class. So check the store calendar for a class coming June 30th.

Here is a photo of the cover and a close up shot. As I create the inner pages I will post photos of them for you to enjoy.

As always let me know what you think!

I used beautiful sea inspired papers and embellishments.

Here is a close up shot of the seashells and message in a bottle.

Have a creative day,

Michelle

Impression Obsession - Yeah Baby!!!!

We got some new stamps from my favorite Stamp Company - Impression Obsession
I just love the images on these stamps.

Some of these would work really well with Flower Soft, Pencils, Copics and more.
Gotta go and make some samples. :)

More Design Team Layouts

Kristie did the layouts in tonight's post. The first three layouts use the U Bug Me
collection from Bobunny.

Love the layout but the large bug is gross. As usual Kristie takes some amazing photos.

This collection may be typical for Boys but as Kristie shows it also works well for Girl layouts.

BoBunny papers with an acrylic arrow colored with Alcohol inks. Paint and faux stitching work well on this layout and pull everything together.

Here Kristie used Prima Papers and flowers. Love what she did with this layout. This one is definately my favorite.

This uses a Tim Holtz mask with Glimmer Mist, bling, rubons and more
Prima paper and flowers.

More Prima!!
Well that's it for tonight. I will show you some of the new product
received at the store tomorrow.

Another Design Team Layout

Here is another Design Team Layout. This one was done by Lynn and uses a safari collection

The detailed cutting work that Lynn has done really makes this layout spectacular.

This layout was done by Mary and uses the My Minds Eye Bloom & Grow collection, as well as acrylic pieces, bling and ribbon

Detailed Cricut embellishments make this layout unique.

New Collections

Can you see Jeff our UPS guy in this photo?

Amongst these many boxes delivered on Friday were two wonderful collections from the CHA show.

Transatlantique by Graphic 45 is here. I love these vintage inspired papers and this collection is just as lovely as the others. Perfect for Heritage Photos, this line inspires fabulous layouts.

Zinnia by Little Yellow Bicycle

Inspired by spring's blossoms and blooms, Little Yellow Bicycle has taken it to the
next level with sophisticated jewel tones and great graphic designs
in this cheerful collection. Once again, they have incorporated our new thermography texture and then added glitter for a delightful punch. Zinnia's stylized blossoms, fancy flourishes and sophisticated fonts, this clean, fresh collection provides all the necessary stickers, papers and embellishments for your spring-time and Mother's Day projects.

A beautiful way
to celebrate Spring!

We also got the rest of the Prima Animals finally!

Copic Refills, Design Team Layouts and an Operation

Copic Ink Refilling Service:

Our Copic Ink refilling service should be in operation by next week. (I hope) I spoke to my friends at the Copic Warehouse on Friday and our order is being packed and should be shipped at the end of this week :)

Design Team Layouts
I thought it would be nice to share some of the recent work that has been submitted by our Design Team.

Here is the first photo:

A wonderful layout by Lynn using some of the Pink Paislee Papers and a Maya Road Sheer.
I love the bold colors on this layout.

This layout is by Michelle and uses the Penny Lane collection from My Minds Eye.

Here is a close up of the flowers on the layout. Michelle started with Felt and Chipboard flowers, she painted them and then used rub-ons over the top. What a great way to alter them.

and onto the operation
:

Some of you know about Rosemary's skills but in case you have not heard the story, here it is.

A couple of weeks ago Rosemary answered the phone at the store to a lady who thought she was calling a doctors office. Rosemary always quick with the chatter, told the lady that she had dialed the wrong number but, that she watched a lot of medical shows and therefore had some experience and could she help her. The woman laughed and hung up.

Since then Rosemary has honed her medical skills watching even more medical shows. I thought we should show a photo of her first successful operation. The patient lived and Rosemary luckily did not have to amputate :)

We will show you some more design team layouts tomorrow. . . . . . . .
