An experiment with Tim Holtz

I decided to do a quick experiment today and realized that we did not have any glossy paper in stock. We ran out during the Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas and it has not been restocked yet.

So instead I took one of our white tags which has a smoother surface and I pounced alcohol inks all over the background. It was harder to move and manipulate the inks as the surface was not as slick as the glossy paper.

When it was dry, I used Versamark and one of the 2012 Hero Arts stamps and stamped the Gear Images on the tag. I then took Perfect Pearls and mixed it with embossing powder to make my custom color which has a gleam to it. Using the heat tool I embossed the image.

Here is a close up view

The background is quite intriguing.
I had to stop at this point as a customer needed some help.
I hope to finish up this tag tomorrow.
Till then, Goodnight

Another Tag

Here is another tag that I made on Christmas Eve. This time I used a Hero Arts Stamp and the Spellbinder Bird Florishes die in addition to Distress Ink and the Tim Holtz Fanciful Flight Die.

I used the Spellbinders die for the Reindeer antlers and loved the effect.
A alcohol inked the pearls to make them red and the Deer was made using a French Dictionary Page.

Finally the lamp post . . . .

You may remember that I was hoping Tim Holtz would use his Lamp Post die while making his 12 Tags of Christmas earlier this month.

Well I finally had a few minutes today at the store and I decided I would go ahead and make my version. I know it's not your typical Christmas colors but the colors I used remind me of Florida.

hmm, I used quite a few things in this tag including Distress Embossing Powder, Luminarte H2O's, Stamps, Ranger Colorwash, Stickers and of course Luminarte ICE!!!

Would anyone like to do this as a Make n Take next week???
Let me know and I will see if I can get it on our schedule.
