Tim Holtz New Products

Our shelves are filled with Tim Holtz new products, like with Wendy Vecchi’s new stamps, some are already sold out! It seems as though our customers are stalking the Fed Ex delivery man (the one who came in this morning was sooooo cute, I can’t blame them).

Tim Holtz new products are being released in small increments, great for you since you won’t break the bank buying his entire line at once. We know you can’t just buy one! Truth be told, neither can we.

Time Holtz new layering stencils are so intricate and detailed, you will be amazed!

Tim Holtz has also shipped out six of his new stamps, quite a few are almost gone and one is already sold out.

In other news….did you know that Tim Holtz has an app for your phone? Well neither did I! Apparently it has been around for quite a while some time now and from what I understand it comes in quite handy for keeping track of all of your Tim Holtz purchases and even keeps a wish list for any Tim Holtz new products you must have. Cool! (By te way, this is Lisa and not Michelle who may or may not have lost her mind)!

The creative journey continues in a whole new way… Now you can keep inventory of your favorite Tim Holtz signature products from Ranger, idea-ology, Sizzix Alterations, Stampers Anonymous, Tonic, and Core’dinations with this interactive app right at your finger tips. Create a wish list of the products you want to explore, and watch Tim’s technique videos right on your device. Keep up with Tim’s many adventures with quick access to his events calendar, blog, facebook, and twitter.

Update from CHA 2014 Part III

Continuing the reporting on the recent CHA tradeshow – for the Scrapbook Enthusiasts -  Project Life and the Chalkboard Look are still big trends and quite a few of the manufacturers are coming out with both looks.

With regards to the Project Life trend, in my opinion Simple Stories and We R Memory Keepers do it in a more fun way with less repetition in “cards” and Simple Stories has introduced new Burlap Binders in hot colors.

Their new collection called DIY Boutique – which gives you the freedom to create your own elements to suit your personal style.  Start with the basic card, envelope, tag or pocket foundation, add layers and then add your embellishments.

We R Memory Keepers came out with a cool new punch board and some new smaller sized albums (4×4) perfect for Instagram photos with matching cards..

They have two new tag pads, chipboard pieces and a chipboard book and some of the stamps have diecuts with them.  The samples are just stunning.

Julie Nutting is also the author of the popular book, Collage Couture, Techniques for creating fashionable art  and she has another book coming out this year. We have preordered a number of copies.  (If you want one please call and get your name on our wait list)

There are some beautiful line stickers in the girls as well.

A recap of CHA 2014 - the industry trade show

I just got back a few days ago from the Craft & Hobby Trade Show in California (CHA).  This is the trade show where craft manufacturers, store owners, designers, the industry press and teachers converge to see the new product releases, trends and ideas for the coming year.  I am lucky enough to be able to attend this industry trade show twice a year.  It is fun to go and see all the new products being introduced, the amazing inspirational samples and to catch up with friends. On the down side, it is also exhausting, meetings start at 7:00am and I am not often back in the hotel till midnight. . so it makes for a very long week.

I thought it might be fun to give you a recap of my week and what some of my favorite finds were.  As I took a lot of photos, this post will be spread over a few days.

This is the entrance to the huge convention center

Outside Outside

The plaza outside is quite pretty and this year they had food trucks where you could buy lunch.  As I have never had lunch from a food truck this was fun for me and it tasted way better than the food in the convention center.

The convention center is quite large and I did a lot of walking to see all the new and hot items.

One of the trends this year is on Home Decor and I could see a lot of inspiration from Pinterest.

The Graphic 45 booth is always so inspirational, they have an amazing design team and their booth is stuffed full of home decor pieces made with their collections.

You can see the three new collections that will be delivered to the store soon by clicking this link: G45 Collections

Here are some of the examples in their booth:

I was lucky enough to win some samples from their booth again this year.  Three vintage pieces and a couple of party decorations now live in the store.  Come on in and take a look.

Spellbinders completely redid their booth this year and it was stunning.

Did you notice the pallets in their booth that have been dyed with luscious colors?  Brilliant

Like I said their booth was stunning, a feast for the eyes.

Another update on what I saw at CHA tomorrow.  I have to try and catch up on some sleep,

see you soon, Michelle McCosh
