Tuesday Tutorial #10

It's time for another Tuesday tutorial.... pull out your scraps from last week because, as promised, this is the week we will be using some of the left over shapes from last week's double page layout to complete a third layout!  Thanks to design team member Melinda Miller for this sweet tutorial:

Paper Collection:    AUTHENTIQUE - Renew

Supplies:

Papers used from the collection:
·         Rejuvenate
·         Titles and Phrases
·         Puzzle pieces
·         Bazzill Cardstock in Black, Lt Blue
·         Authentique Diction
Other Supplies:
EK 3-D pop dots
Zots
BoBunny Blossoms
Scrappy Chic letters
Assorted ribbons
Black ink for distressing
Tim Holtz alcohol inks

Instructions:

This layout is very easy and uses the left over border from last week's die cut shape.  (If you are not using week's scrap then create a 12x12 border with an opening that measures 10.5 x 10.5”).

Layer 1:  I used 1 12 x 12 sheet of Bazzill cardstock for the foundation and the waste from layout one of the Rejuvenate which forms the border.

Layer 2 - Photo is 5 x 7” and matted on Bazzill cardstock.

Flowers are by BoBunny Blossoms and Prima and adhered down with Zots glue dots.

Lettering is from Scrappy Chic.  Hot tip:  I use wax paper to lay out my lettering for spacing before applying to the layout.  Then I can easily transfer the stickers from the wax paper to the layout and my spacing is even every time!

The metal dragonfly was colored with alcohol inks to match the papers; after adhering him to the layout I added a doodled flight pattern with a micron pen.

The rest is fairly simple - just use embellishments from the product line:

And here is the completed layout one more time:

Wow - thanks to Melinda for this fun tutorial!  I love the idea of really using up those extra supplies, and I'm definitely stealing the wax paper lettering tip - awesome!
