Tuesday Tutorial Time #1

Tuesday - the day before hump day.  How anticlimactic.  Monday's are the first day back to work, Thursday's are the day we pretend we're still interested in the week, Friday's are all about getting ready for the weekend.  But what about poor, lonely Tuesday?  I feel bad for Tuesday.  It feels like the kind of day that doesn't win many awards.  Like me.

Then I thought, "To heck with that!  Time to put the capital "T" back in Tuesday!  And so I created Tuesday Tutorial Time.  Each week we'll share some fun ideas in tutorials created by our new design team.  "That's Totally Terrific!!" thought Tamara.  So here we go.

Designer Angel Estes created a fun Christmas tag fun tutorial using this beautiful Magenta stamp set, Christmas Silhouette:

For this project you will need:

Ranger Distress Inks in Forest Moss and Barn Door
VersaMark Ink
Clear Embossing Powder
Mini Mister
Water Color Paper or white cardstock
Heat gun
Foam Applicator
Small Bow
Red Cardstock

1.  Apply Forest Moss to random parts of the stamp.

2.  Apply Barn Door to all uninked parts of the stamp.

3.  Spritz with a mini mister until inks begin to run together

4.  Stamp onto the watercolor paper (or cardstock)

5.  Dry with a heat gun.

6.  Clean stamp completely.  Apply Versamark ink to the stamp.

7.  Stamp on top the first image with the Versamark

8.  Sprinkle with clear embossing powder

9.  Emboss using heat gun.  Cut the tag out.  Use foam applicator to apply Barn Door ink to edges.

10.Attach bow to ornament.  Mat the tag on red cardstock.

Wow - so fun!  Thanks, Angel, for creating our first Tuesday Tutorial Time!  You see - pretty soon Tuesday will be the best day of the week!

I love this idea. It will make me feel like I am at the store when I am in Alabama.
