She Came, She Saw, and She Kicked Some Major Art!

So look who's crying now!  Why, YOU are, of course, if you didn't make it to Dyan Revealey's workshops!   (I know, because I didn't get to go this time either... WAAAH!!!!) 

First up, Jeannie Z made this sign to Welcome Dyan to the store,  She also made a gazzillion Mustache Decorations that were hanging around the store and she made everyone a fun name tag.

Jeannie is uber talented.

From all reports, this year's classes were an absolute smashing success... everyone had a blast and the projects were just amazing!  Really, in this case I think pictures will speak louder than words... take a look at highlights from this amazing event:

Wow - as you can see an amazingly wild and crazy time was had by all... but even outside of that students really had the opportunity to step outside the box and learn and learn and learn...  Thanks so much to Dyan for another great event!!!  We had the most Fabulous Inky Time evah!!

Did I happen to mention that Dyan is almost here????  Just a few short weeks to go.... she's here for the weekend of May 11th and 12th so I thought we'd run the class info one more time for any of you that may have missed our other announcements. 

Dyan Reaveley is Ranger's Signature Designer and creator of The Dylusions line
and also their International Senior Educator.

Dyan will be teaching 4 classes. Each class is 4 hours long.

You do not need to bring any supplies with you as everything is provided in class. Here are the class descriptions:


Using Imagery in your Journals May 11th 10:00am to 2:00pm $80 (Currently Sold Out)

I use a lot of imagery in my journals, from magazines, books, old journal pages etc. Where do you start and how do you alter them to make them yours. You will be working with images that I will provide and also selecting your own from my many magazine sources. Cutting and sticking has never been so much fun.

 

Journaling with silhouettes $80 May 11th 3:30pm-7:30pm

Silhouette imagery is big in journaling at the moment, but where do you start?? You start with the Dylusions silhouette stencils and masks. We will be writing, spraying, inking, painting and stamping in them, on them and through them. You will also learn how to create your own silhouettes to give your pages that unique look.

Couture journaling $80 Sunday May 12th 10:00am-2:00pm

This workshop is everything you need to know about the Dylusions range of Couture clear stamps. Bring a touch of glamour to your pages with the fashion images. Learn how to make each stamp look totally different by adding patterns to the material. We will be stamping, masking, painting, doodling, adding other imagery and elements to create fabulous pages.

Anatomy of a Page Sunday May 12th 3:30-7:30 $80 1spot left

Are you intrigued by the art journaling phenonoma but unsure where to start?

Do the pages look too complicated for you to even contemplate where to begin?

This is the class for you. We will break down the journal page into easy bite size steps. Starting with a background, stamping borders and journal lines, adding collage elements and doodling.

And then we will do it again and again, each time adding a new twist or element until you feel totally at ease and raring to go.

All of our Art Part fans will be thrilled to learn that Wendi Vecchi is returning September 7th and 8th!  Woot woot!!!  Wendy Vecchi is a full time artist/designer, Certified Ranger Educator, and a proud design team member for Maya Road. Wendy loves to demo and teach at stores and events across the country. Wendy also has her own signature line of stamps from Stampers Anonymous titled Studio 490 which capture her passion for art with a touch of whimsy. Her style is unique and eclectic with an exceptional attention to detail and a fresh approach to the creative spirit. She shares her love of techniques on her blog and reminds you that whatever you do each day just – "Make Art!"

Dina Wakely

Also confirmed (just today!!), Dina Wakely will be here October 4th and 5th!  We are currently awaiting a restock of her recently published book, Art Journal Freedom...

Dina teaches online and in-person classes all over the world. She started papercrafting in 1995, and has dabbled in scrapbooking, stamping, mixed-media art, encaustic art, and art journaling. Dina has a line of rubber stamps by Stampington, and a line of stencils by The Crafter's Workshop. You can visit Dina at her website, http://www.dinawakley.com.

Nathalie Metevier

Nathalie visited us last year and everyone just loved her classes, so we just had to have her back! Nathalie has been wowing stampers for years with her innovative and fun techniques - in fact, she is the stamper that first inspired Michelle to learn to stamp!

Nathalie will be here Friday March 29th and Saturday March 30th - just around the corner!  Her card samples are in the store and the techniques look awesome!  Check out all the details here. 
So much to plan for, so little time!  These events will be on us before you know it, so make sure to pen these ladies into your calendar as they are simply not to be missed!!!

We're Bringing a Little Couture Your Way!

So Michelle is back from CHA and it's high times here at Everything Scrapbook and Stamps!!!  I'm particularly excited that I FINALLY have some images to share with you of Dyan Reaveley's new release...  wow - you Dyan fans out there are going to LOVE her new designs!

First of all, I'm sure you've heard the buzz about her new ink colors - there are six new colors to add to your palette, including an awesome semi-opaque white - check out the video below as Dyan reveals the new sprays:

Dyan also brought in some great new rubber stamps in her signature quirky style along with some sentiments that will make you fall over laughing:

I'm pausing just a minute here to give you time to catch your breath after laughing at those hilarious sentiments...  And look at the alphabet - I love the letters!!!

OK, moving on.... Check out some of the amazing samples created with these stamps:

How fun, right? These guys are so unique and funny, you're just not going to find anything else like them out there.  

Speaking of unique, it's time to get to the couture part of this reveal... and Wow, this new couture line is SO cool... the stamps and stencils have so many possibilities:

The thing about these stamps is that they are quite large; plus the stencils give you each figure in three sizes, so they create really awesome effects.  Check out this video that shows some of Dyan's samples with the new couture line - I think you'll be amazed at the background effects and journal pages she has created using these products:

 

I think these are so awesome, and the size options are great.   I mean, I was really excited about this new line, but, as usual, Michelle had her mind on only one thing:
