Meet Dyan...

Wooo Hoooooo!  (Oops - there's my southern roots showing...)  It's almost time - in just a short while Michelle will be picking Dyan Reavely up at the airport and bringing her to Everything Scrapbook and Stamps for three jam-packed days of fun and fabulous classes!

A lot of you guys may be new to the Art Journaling phenomenon, but Dyan's not - she's been at the forefront of the industry for years.  In addition to teaching classes in her own store, Art from the Heart, in North Yorkshire she is also currently the International Senior Educator for Ranger Industries!   So what happens when one of your favorite artists teams up with one of your favorite companies?
                    1. You fall down on your knees and thank the heavens and the stars above
                    2. You open up a big ole' can of southern WOO HOO!!!
                    3. You beg, borrow, and plead to get her to come teach at your store!

Thank goodness Michelle chose option three, because here comes Dyan!  Michelle met Dyan at Ranger University, and it was sort of kismet... or twiglet, as the case may be.  Anyway, Michelle says Dyan is one of the funniest, no pressure, encouraging teachers she's ever had and everyone can look forward to being completely inspired.... yay!

How about a little Dyan trivia to hold you over until Tuesday?  Did you know:

  • Dyan LOVES toffees, mustaches, and hot men.  I'm not sure if the mustaches have to be on the hot men or not - you should ask her about that.
  • Dyan loves getting messy and inky, so Rosemary you better put your blinders on 'cause I'm pretty sure she's not putting on gloves for you....
  • Dyan loves 50's style vintage dresses and Northern Soul.  No, I didn't know what Northern Soul is either - don't be lazy - google it.  And, I'm just wondering which one of our crazy Dyan fans is going to show up in a 50's style dress... I'm just throwing it out there...
OK, so I believe as I am writing this that there may be one or two slots left in couple of the classes, so if you didn't sign up before and now you're kicking yourself in the behind like I am, call the store and see if there's any left...  until then, enjoy this:

Hold your breath...

New from Creative Imaginations, Christine Adolph's Beautiful You collection is simply breath taking. The colors are soft and beautifully blended, and the images are so serene:

I think the embellishments are particularly lovely:

And the 6x6 pad is sure to bring out the best in the cardmaking crowd:

But, as always Creative Imaginations adds a fun little twist - two resist papers that match the collection and allow you to get in touch with your inner artist... What mediums will you use to highlight the resist areas and compliment your work? Hmmmm.....

if you want it, better come on in!

We also got in a nice selection of Dahlias in all kinds of colors - here are the blue and purple:

We also got some new fabric flowers from their Expressions collection:

The Expressions line is so perfect for vintage style projects - they look just like they got plucked out of the past and put into a package for your perfect project!  Come in and take a peak at all the new colors and styles of beautiful flowers we have in - there's sure to be something just right for your next project!

Vintage Chic from Heidi Swapp

Heidi Swapp's new Vintage Chic collection is chock full of fabulous finds... the colors are mellow and trendy and the patterns are marvelous - definitely in the "gotta have it" collection!  Here's the paper pack:

Which is beautiful all on it's own, but just look at some of the great embellishment choices:

I don't know - I just love the clean look of her lettering and words; they go great with the paper pack but they'll be useful on many other projects as well.  The new Foto Flipbooks are really great, though:

Each book has four double sided printed cardstock pages for small photos and journaling and four 4x6 clear plastic sleeves for full sized photos - they're slim enough to add to a page or journal, but sturdy enough to make little stand alone books for display.  Come explore this great new collection today - we're sure you'll find something that captivates you!

Holiday Ex-stamp-aganza

Sometimes I think the best thing about the Holiday Season is all the new stamp designs that come out!  If you're a stamp fiend like me it's just so hard to choose... it doesn't matter if it's cutsie or vintage or grungy - I can ALWAYS think of some reason I just HAVE to HAVE them!

Just in from House Mouse - Candy Corn Comes to Town and Best Witches:

I love the large, easy to color images from House Mouse, and the sentiments are always so sweet... perfect for a charming Halloween greeting.

If you've been loving the cute images from Darcie's that have the button-face embellishments then you're going to love their new Christmas release:

The stamps are adorable on their own, but they really get new life when you add the little face embellishment buttons, don't they?  Here's a close up of some of the images:

We got in several different sets in both red rubber and clear, and there are a few different packs of accent buttons to choose from as well.

The Inky Antics Christmas release is very punny - pun intended!  I love these precious little animals and their adorable sentiments:

Yup, there's plenty of stamping goodness to choose from and you know it's time to start getting some holiday cards together so come and get 'em while the getting's good!

45 Reasons I Love Graphic 45....

1. Vibrant colors
2. Thick, quality paper
3. Themes that make me happy
4. Beautiful, classic images
5. Awesome embellishments

Yes, I love Graphic 45 for these reasons and more... wait, you thought I said 45 reasons?  No, no... that's 4 to 5 - just say it really fast like I did in the title and it sounds like 45... There's no way I could take the time to list 45 reasons, although certainly there are 45 reasons and more.  Graphic 45 is one of my absolute favorite companies, and their newest releases make me love them that much more.

I already blogged once about Birdsong, but that was before we'd gotten it in or I'd actually seen it; that was just the CHA preview.  Now that it's here I'm in awe...  I'm so glad I planned that trip to the Bon Festival at the Morikami Gardens so that I would have awesome pictures to use on my soon to be new collection of Birdsong papers - totally worth it, even if it did rain like crazy that night!  (And don't EVEN pretend that you don't plan events to match you're favorite scrapbook papers - you know you do!)  Just look at these fabulous papers:

Don't you love the fan stamp?  You can stamp the images inside the fan image so you can create a unique look everytime - pretty cool!

Now, this next line took me by surprise - I didn't even know it was coming, so I came in shocked to find this fabulous new Christmas line on our shelves.  Oh My - the colors!  Pinks and purples and blues for Christmas - GORGEOUS!

This collection is not just for Christmas - the dancing papers and embellishments are also perfect for all our little dancers out there.... I'm just sayin!  Of course, these are just samplings - you need to come in to see the complete line.

While you're here you can check out these other awesome products from Graphic 45:

The easle album and the matchbook box are offered in two sizes - 8x8 and 12x12.  Perfect for the paper sizes and CUTE ideas for unique Christmas gifts.... there are only a few left so be sure to come and get them so you don't miss out!
