Finally Stazon has Metallic Inks and we have them in stock!

The kits include a dry pad and a bottle of ink. This ink formula will dry on non-porous surfaces such as Glass, Metal, Acetate, Wood, Leather and more. Use the ink pad for stamping but think of using it on the edge of your cards, tags, photos and much much more to add a metallic sheen.

Anne B made this card using one of her Magnolia images and I wanted to share it with you.

Anne has not been stamping for very long, about 6 months or so and she bought this card in to show us. The coloring on Tilda was done with Copic Markers and is absolutely amazing. From Tilda's skin tones, to her hair to her dress, Anne did a stunning job. She very kindly said we can keep the card in the store to show people. You have to come in and see this up close!!!
We are very impressed!


I will get it into the computer asap as I need to leave for Orlando as soon as I can, my brother is getting married Friday night. Wahoo!!

Harry Potter

We are excited to announce that Creative Imaginations is going to bring the world of Harry Potter to scrapbook enthusiasts and fans everywhere.

Creative Imaginations, which provides custom manufacturing of scrapbook products via licensed artist and brand designs, will draw inspiration from the Harry Potter franchise, including the anticipated Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I, in theatres November 19, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, in theatres in 2011.

Based on the stories and characters in the Harry Potter films, the new line will include scrapbooking paper, stickers, albums, kits, autograph books, and embellishments.

I am hoping to see this in person at CHA. We will be getting it all!!!

We are so excited to announce that starting in June we are offering classes twice a month in Genealogy.

Are you curious about your ancestors, who they are and where they came from?
Not sure how to get started?
Not sure what is fact and what is a family story?

Then this is a series of classes that will interest you. Taught by an Accredited Genealogist, that will show you how to start research into your own Family History.

You will be given the forms that you need to start your research.

We will have a special guest lecturer from the Family History Center who will show you all the ways that you can use the vast repository of free information that the LDS holds in it's record banks.

You will gain valuable insight on how to conduct your research the correct way.

In the fall we will also offer classes on how to scrapbook the information you have found.

I am so excited to be able to offer these classes. Please check the calendar for dates and times or call the store for more information.

Derek is OK

Some of you had asked where Derek was this week. . . . . .

Well he had to fly back to Seattle to take care of some paperwork at the hospital where he used to work before joining us.

While he was there he got shot, yes Shot!!!!. Some crazy guy had a grudge and was shooting people and Derek got shot near his heart.

Luckily Dr. Sloane was there and operated on him. The surgery took 6 hours and it was touch and go for a while but Derek has pulled through okay.

I managed to fly out to Seattle yesterday to make sure he was okay and got this photo.

If there are no complications Derek should be back at the store next week.

Derek took the day off from work yesterday and did some tubing in the lake.
He had a great time but was a little shocked to find out we have a lot of gators here.

He is also learning how to scrapbook

He hand cut the train track. I told you he was good with a craft knife. I think he is doing a pretty amazing job!

Quickutz Club

We are currently taking sign ups for our next Quickutz Club session which starts in June. The club is for 6 months at a time and you have the option of signing up for the card club or the layout club. With either option you get a Quickutz die every month and we make a project with it.

You can use the Quickutz dies in the BigShot, Cuttlebug, Wizard, Squeeze or Epic 6. So what ever diecutting system you own you can join in on the fun.

We meet the third Thursday of the month either morning or evening. If you can't make the class you can always get the kit and work on it another time.
